Recall of Irish Pork and Bacon Products Due to Presence of Dioxin

Food Product All pork and bacon products produced in Ireland from 1 September 2008.
Reason for Recall Laboratory results of animal feed and pork fat samples obtained by the FSAI confirmed the presence of dioxin.
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety We have informed the trade and asked them to stop selling these products. We will contact the Irish authorities for further information and is closely monitoring the situation.
Advice to the Trade Stop selling these products.
Advice to Consumers Stop consuming the affected products.
