Recall of Canned Luncheon Meat Due to the Presence of Low Level of Nitrofurans Metabolite

Product Description	Canned Luncheon meat. Each can weighs 340g. The affected products carry the batch no. of B2 5.
Durability Indication	Best Before Date 26/12/2009
Reason for Recall	Presence of low level of a metabolite of Nitrofurans. The amount detected is 0.0022ppm.
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety	The sole agent has initiated a recall and stopped selling the affected products. CFS will continue to follow up the case and take further samples for testing.
Advice to the Trade	Stop selling the affected products.
Advice to Consumers	Stop consuming the affected products.
