• The CFS received a notification from the Rapid Alert System for Food and Feed (RASFF) of the European Commission that the above-mentioned products had been detected with chlorate, and are being recalled.
• According to the information provided by the RASFF, the above-mentioned affected batches of products have been imported into Hong Kong.

• Upon learning of the incident, the CFS immediately commenced investigation and preliminary results found that the above-mentioned distributor had distributed the affected batches of the products concerned in Hong Kong.
• For the sake of prudence, the distributor concerned has stopped selling and removed from shelves the affected batches of the products upon the CFS's instructions and has initiated a recall.
• The CFS will alert the trade to the incident, continue to follow up and take appropriate action. An investigation is ongoing.

• The trade should stop using or selling the affected batches of the products concerned immediately if they possess them.

• Consumers should not consume the products.
