Star fruit juice produced by the Topsense Beverage Co. Ltd.

Reason For Issuing Alert

The affected product was found to be contaminated with di(2-ethylhexyl)phthalate (DEHP) in Taiwan.

Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety

Tracing the concerned importers and distributors to know more about the sale of the affected product in Hong Kong.

Sales checks have been conducted, but no concerned product has been found on sale in the market at the moment.

The CFS has alerted the trade of the incident. The CFS will continue to liaise with the Taiwanese authority on the plasticiser contamination incident and closely monitor the situation.

Advice to the Trade

Stop selling the affected product.

Suspend selling any drinks or food that might be affected by the plasticiser contamination incident.

Advice to Consumers

Stop consuming the affected product.
