Not to consume an asparagus juice produced in Taiwan

Source of Information	The Centre for Food Safety (CFS) received notification from the Taiwanese authority that the concerned products had been distributed to Hong Kong.
Food Product	Asparagus Juice
Product Name and Description	Product name: Uni-President asparagus juice (translation) Manufacturer: Uni-President Enterprises Corp. Exporter: TTX Trade Co, Ltd Expiry date: 1 August,2011
Reason For Issuing Alert	The concerned products might have been contaminated with di-isononyl phthalate (DINP), a plasticiser.
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety	The CFS has at once contacted the concerned exporter in Taiwan and was informed that the concerned products, which had been re-exported to other places via Hong Kong, was not for sale in Hong Kong. Conduct checks at retail outlets. Samples will be taken for testing if the product concerned is found on sale. The CFS has alerted the trade of the incident. The CFS will be in close liaison with the Taiwanese authority and monitor the situation.
Advice to the Trade	Stop selling the affected product.
Advice to Consumers	Stop consuming the affected product.
