2019 Food Safety Talk Series on “Empower Consumers to Ensure Food Safety” (Public Series)

The Centre for Food Safety is going to hold a series of talks on related topics during the period from July to December 2019. The talks will introduce topics on “Risk of Eating Raw Foods”, “Risk of Picking and Eating Wild Plants/Mushrooms”, “Buying/Selling Foods Online and Food Safety”, “Reading Nutrition Labels Helps Preventing Chronic Diseases” and “Choosing Food Safety Information Wisely”, so as to enrich the public/ trade with food safety knowledge.

The talks will also cover other topics such as “Introduction of HACCP, the threats of AMR, and Five Keys to Food Safety” and “Nutrition Label”.  The Centre for Food Safety would like to promote the health eating habit and raise awareness on the importance of food safety and healthy diet.  As such, everyone can enjoy food in a safe and healthy way.

The series of talks are free of charge and will be conducted in Cantonese. Members of the public are welcome to attend. All participants will be awarded a “Certificate of Attendance” and a souvenir. Details of the talks are listed as follows:
