Remarks:

  1. The CFS has urged the trade to stop selling the incriminated batch of the affected product. 
  2. Prosecution will be instituted should there be sufficient evidence.
  3. According to Sec. 2(5) to Schedule 3 to Food and Drugs (Composition and Labelling) Regulations (Cap. 132W), if any person sells prepackaged food containing undeclared additive, shall be guilty of an offence and be liable to a maximum fine of $50,000 and six months' imprisonment upon conviction.
  4. The CFS will inform the trade, continue to follow up on the case and take appropriate action.
