  1. The CFS had informed the importer concerned of the irregularities and the affected batch of the product have been sold out.
  2. Based on the level of Enrofloxacin detected in the sample, adverse health effects would not be caused under usual consumption.
  3. According to Regulation 3 of the Harmful Substances in Food Regulations (Cap 132AF), if a person import, sell or consign or deliver for sale for human consumption, any meat which contains excessive concentration of Enrofloxacin, he shall be guilty of an offence and be liable to a maximum fine of $50,000 and six months' imprisonment upon conviction.
  4. The CFS will inform the Vietnam authorities of the incident.
  5. The CFS will continue to follow up on the case and take appropriate action.
  6.  Investigation is on going.
