Voluntary Food Recall Procedures

Potential food recall
Immediately notify Director of Food and Environmental Hygiene of the cause of recall together with any opinions on the risk to public health and safety and the proposed actions to be taken by completing the ‘Voluntary Food Recall Notification Form'
In consultation with the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department (FEHD) Informing the consumer
Submit progress report at regular interval to FEHD
Product recovery
Arrange isolation, storage or disposal of affected stock
Prepare progress and final reports on the recall to FEHD
Inform FEHD the method of disposal
All products recalled must be destroyed/disposed of/repatriated or handled appropriately in the presence of FEHD staff
