While street food is popular among local residents and tourists, its food safety and hygiene standards are of growing public concern. To address this, the Centre for Food Safety (CFS) has published a set of guidelines for street food vendors, which are applicable to both permanent food stalls as well as temporary food stalls operating at food fairs, festivals, night markets, and other public events. It aims to facilitate food business operators and food handlers working in street food stalls to adopt food safety measures in their operations to produce and supply safe and wholesome food.

In order to enhance food safety awareness among street food vendors, the CFS will conduct a talk to provide an overview of fundamental food safety principles and offer practical guidance on implementing effective food safety measures in their daily operations to provide safe and hygienic food to consumers .
