Product Description	Raw oysters harvested from West Karako Bay, a section of Growing Area 3 in Louisiana in the United States.
Harvesting Period	From December 3 to 21, 2007
Reason for Recall	Product may be contaminated with norovirus.
Action Taken by the Centre for Food Safety	The CFS is following up with the US authorities for further information and has alerted the trade about the incident. We are closely monitoring the situation and will take action as appropriate.
Advice to the Trade	Stop selling the affected oysters.
Advice to Consumers	Cook all food, especially shellfish, thoroughly to prevent norovirus infection.
