Follow 5 Keys to Ensure Food Safety

Proper food handling can prevent most foodborne diseases. The Centre for Food Safety of the Food and Environmental Hygiene Department and the Radio Television Hong Kong will jointly organise the Food Safety Day 2008 - "Follow Five Keys to Ensure Food Safetyˇ¨.

5 Keys to Food Safety

  1. Choose (Choose safe raw materials)
  2. Clean (Keep hands and utensils clean)
  3. Separate (Separate raw and cooked food)
  4. Cook (Cook thoroughly)
  5. Safe Temperature (Keep food at safe temperature)

Food is more enjoyable if you know itˇ¦s safe to eat. Simply apply the 5 Keys to Food Safety in daily life from purchase, storage, preparation, cooking and management of leftovers.

  Date : 29 June 2008 (Sunday)
  Time : 2:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
  Venue : 1 st Floor, Main Atrium, Tuen Mun Town Plaza Phase 1
  Features : Drama, magic show, singing performance, game booths and exhibition

Members of the trade and the public are welcome.

(Please note that the games booths will be opened to the public from 10:30a.m. to 2:30p.m. The Centre reserves the right to adjust the arrangement without prior notice.)
