Enterohaemorrhagic E. coli

Enterohaemorrhagic E. coli (EHEC) can be spread through consumption of contaminated water and food. EHEC can cause intestinal bleeding and serious complications such as haemolytic uraemic syndrome (HUS) in some infected people.
