Inauguration Ceremony of the Consumer Liaison Group (Year 2008-2010)

The Consumer Liaison Group (CLG) was officially formed under the Centre for Food Safety in August 2006 to collect views and suggestions on food safety from the public. The first CLG completed its term of service and the registration exercise of the second CLG successfully concluded with overwhelming public response. The inauguration ceremony of the CLG (Year 2008-2010) was held on 23 August 2008 with the presence of Dr Constance CHAN, Controller, Centre for Food Safety, as the officiating guest. Apart from a brief presentation of the background of the CLG (please click here for details)(Chinese version only), there was also a seminar on risk perception to enable participating CLG members to understand the relationship between food hazards and risks. They showed enthusiasm in the seminar and had a warm discussion and exchange on food safety.
